Following scholarship policy for Fall- 2025 is effective from 01, July-2025

50% Scholarship – For students with certified disabilities.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES AND SOS VILLAGE:

Substantial waiver upto 100% in tuition fee will be awarded to students from low-income families (bottom 20% of household income groups) and SOS village.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS:

Full-fee scholarships will be awarded to poor students from low or lower-income countries, including free education, free accommodation, and free food, on a case-to-case basis.

REMOTE AREA SCHOLARSHIP:

25 % waiver in under-graduate tuition fee to be determined on merit for students, belonging to designated remote areas.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS OF SOS VILLAGE:

Substantial waiver in tuition fee will be awarded for all students of SOS village.

SPORTSMEN SCHOLARSHIP:

Outstanding sportsmen/women will be awarded scholarship as per the policy.

RULES GOVERNING SCHOLARSHIPS:

a) Scholarship will be paid to supplement tuition fee.
b). Scholarship will be paid to supplement tuition fee only. All other charges (where applicable) will be paid by the student.
c). Student can avail only one scholarship. In case a student is eligible for more than one scholarship offered by GIU , the one with highest amount will be awarded.
d). It is mandatory for every scholarship holder to finish his/ her enrolled program in the prescribed minimum duration of the program. No extension of award will be provided beyond the standard duration of the course/degree.
e). For the entitlement of sportsman/women scholarship, candidate must have certificate from concerned department/sports organization. Trial test will be conducted by GIU sports committee to determine the eligibility and percentage of the scholarship.
